What is BioTE?

Bioidentical Hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) is the perfect solution for people whose bodies no longer produce the hormones which provide the energy and mental clarity they want.†Many clients on BHRT also notice an increase in libido and interest in sex, a decrease in body fat and an increase in muscle mass, as well as a decrease in mood swings, irritability, and depression.

With a simple blood screen, weíll assess your current hormone levels and prescribe the perfect hormone levels that match your body chemistry. With the BHRT method, you can expect balanced hormones every day, all day, an accomplishment no other delivery method can offer. And the chance of adverse side effects is greatly reduced because your body sees the hormone as its own.

BHRT is a pellet therapy, a successful procedure in the U.S., Europe, and Australia since 1939, and was the most popular hormone delivery method until the 1970ís when less effective oral and topical products were developed. The pellet, placed just under the skin, releases all natural estrogen and testosterone, bio-identical to your own, and most patients experience none or minimal side effects.

You don’t have to suffer the uncomfortable or possibly debilitating effects of improper hormone balance. Schedule your consultation and begin your therapeutic journey back to healthier living, revived sexual and physical energy levels, and emotional and mental peace.

BioTE bioidentical hormones are non-synthetic, plant-based and are identical biologically to the hormones our body naturally makes. Bioidentical hormone pellets are the only type of treatment providing sustained hormone levels for four to six months. Bioidentical hormone therapy has recently become one of the most popular treatment options for healthy aging patients around the world experience its amazing benefits. BHRT provides relief from menopause, perimenopause, low testosterone, and more.

The hormones are administered evenly, 24-hours-a-day. No roller coaster of emotions; no missed doses. BioTE Pellet Therapy is minimally invasive with virtually no negative side effects. The pellets themselves are smaller than a grain of rice and are inserted in the fatty tissue underneath the skin (typically the gluteal region) and mimic the actions of healthy ovaries with regards to hormone release into the bloodstream.

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) can come in oral, topical and pellet forms. BHRT using pellets has many advantages over other hormone modalities – most notably, the consistent administration offered by My Wellness Solutions is the BioTE method approach to hormone replacement therapy. This prevents the rollercoaster like effects patients often experience with other forms of BHRT.

Studies show that patients may see the effects of hormone optimization four weeks after a pellet insertion. After insertion, a consistent dose of bioidentical hormones enters the bloodstream and may begin to balance hormones. BHRT is customized to the patient’s unique physiology and will work toward establishing a state of hormone balance within their body. We understand that one patient can make a difference, which is why certified BioTE providers tailor every hormone optimization treatment, ensuring each patient has the greatest chance of success in achieving hormonal balance. Furthermore, BioTE’s method of hormone optimization uses pellet therapy, which mimics the hormones already present within the body.

There are many conditions that may be able to be lessened through the benefits of BHRT. Studies have shown that female hormone replacement therapy benefits may include relief from the symptoms of menopause, low mood, anxiousness, low sex drive, decreased bone density, abnormal heart conditions, PMS, and many other conditions. Female hormone replacement therapy benefits also include a return to hormone balance and peace of mind.

Our research has shown, hormone replacement therapy may help relieve the symptoms of a hormone imbalance in men, including fatigue, sleep issues, weight gain, brain fog, decreased sexual performance, low mood, anxiousness, and more.

The physical benefits a patient can get from the BioTE method of hormone replacement therapy depends on their individual needs. Some of the physical benefits men typically report experiencing as a result of testosterone treatments include increased lean muscle mass and tone, bone strength, thicker hair, improved focus and memory, increased energy and stamina, and even improved mood.

Based on a comprehensive consultation and extensive lab work, we will determine candidacy through the BioTE method. Clients will schedule a quick follow-up appointment to review their results and for pellet therapy insertion.

The first step is to schedule your blood draw here.

Each hormone replacement therapy clients symptoms are unique, so is each clients path to hormone optimization. Most hormone therapy patients report some symptom resolution in as little as four weeks, but full optimization may take up to six months. Your bioidentical hormone therapy journey will be customized to fit your specific needs. It takes more than a few weeks for your hormones to get out of balance, so you can appreciate the fact that it may take a little time to get your hormones back to an optimal level.

A hormone pellet is about the size of a rice of grain. The BioTE method of pellet therapy uses estrogen and testosterone pellets that are bioidentical hormones, meaning that the chemical structure is the same as the hormones produced in the body.  As a result, bioidentical estrogen and testosterone pellets may help avoid negative side effects.

During an in-office visit, which only takes a few minutes, a patient is brought into the exam room, and the insertion site, usually somewhere around the upper buttocks, is numbed. A small incision is made, and the hormone pellet inserted. After, the insertion site is covered with a small bandage. The pellet dissolves, and the body absorbs the contents, leaving nothing behind. Every patient’s symptoms are unique, so each journey is customized to fit your needs. Some patients report seeing improvement in as little as two to four weeks, but full optimization can take up to six months.

As each patient’s symptoms are unique, so is each patient’s path to hormone optimization. Each pellet therapy is customized to fit a patient’s specific needs. However, we typically find that men return for pellets every 5-6 months while women return every 4-6 months.
